Assembly lines are characterised by the adoption of customised systems, enriched by the integration of robots that enhance their flexibility. The unique peculiarities of the products to be assembled often require highly specialised and varied construction solutions.
While the assembly of large household appliances will closely resemble an assembly line in the automotive sector, for small appliances or electronic boards we are more likely to find free pallet lines, similar to those found in the machine tool assembly market.

The fundamental difference is that in this case we are dealing with clean working environments, which become strictly aseptic for the assembly of sensitive electronic components. The type of conveyor belt will therefore be lighter, with no particular need to contain machining waste. In addition to the usual accessories typical of free pallet lines - accumulation, stop and index, precision centring and exchange stations - toothed belt conveyor sections can be added for reduced vibration and positioning precision. Also increasingly common is the integration of industrial robots, both conventional and collaborative, aided by 3D vision systems that enable the picking of components to be assembled even when they are randomly placed in containers.
